WP-04 DC3.0 Storage

Summary

Deliver red-hat-openshift-data-foundation/ceph per site with distinct DR layers: ODF DR orchestration where subscription/supportability allows, plus Ceph-level RBD/CephFS replication as data-replication fallback where ODF DR is unavailable, alongside performance SLOs and service integrations.

Scope

Deliver red-hat-openshift-data-foundation/ceph per site with distinct DR layers: ODF DR for application failover/relocation orchestration where subscription/supportability allows, and Ceph-level RBD/CephFS replication for storage-level data replication where ODF DR is unavailable, alongside performance SLOs and service integrations.

Acceptance Criteria

  • RBD/RWX/RWO profiles per tier are defined.
  • Replication RPO meets business continuity and disaster recovery targets.
  • Runbooks explicitly distinguish storage replication from application failover orchestration.
  • Fallback paths document what Ceph-level replication covers (data copy and recovery points) and what it does not cover (automated application failover) unless additional orchestration is provided.
